What is gregory cromwell?

Gregory Cromwell was the son of the more famous Thomas Cromwell, chief minister to King Henry VIII. He was born around 1520 and lived until 1551. After his father's execution in 1540, Gregory was stripped of his titles and lands. However, he was later restored to some of his father's former estates and titles by Henry VIII himself. He married Elizabeth Seymour, sister of Queen Jane Seymour, Henry VIII's third wife. Gregory and Elizabeth had five children. While overshadowed by his father's dramatic career, Gregory Cromwell led a relatively quiet life as a landowner and member of the gentry during the turbulent Tudor period.
